Hi, I’m Chantelle, founder of Vioka and mum to my daughter, Violet.

Vioka began in Perth, WA, during one of the biggest changes in my life: becoming a first-time mum. I wanted a baby playpen that felt genuinely safe and practical, but also looked calm and beautiful in our home. Most options I found were either bulky plastic designs or expensive wooden playpens with features that aren't important.

The name Vioka is inspired by my daughter Violet and the strength of oak. It brings together something deeply personal to me, combining her name with a symbol of resilience, warmth and natural beauty.

How Vioka Started

When I was seven months pregnant, I was finishing my Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and Data Science. I had planned to continue in tech, but after Violet arrived, I wanted to build something with more flexibility, purpose, and family at its centre.

That’s when Vioka came to life: a small, family-led brand focused on creating high-quality wooden baby playpens for Australian homes.
